Blue Violets Weekly Giveaway Terms & Conditions
NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE THE ENTRY’S CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. Eligibility
The Blue Violets Weekly Giveaway (the "Weekly Giveaway") is open only to adults who are 21 years of age or older at the time of entry. The Weekly Giveaway is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
2. Weekly Giveaway Period
Entries will be accepted for each week during open hours, starting Tuesday at 11a EST and ending Sunday at 9pm EST, unless other hours are noted (the “Weekly Period”). A new Weekly Period begins immediately following the close of the previous one.
3. How to Enter
There are two ways to enter each giveaway in a Weekly Period. All entrants must be enrolled in our loyalty program in order to enter:
In-Store Purchase: Customers may earn entries by making a qualifying purchase in-store at Blue Violets (628 Washington Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030). The specific purchase requirement, including but not limited to a minimum spend requirement or specific product category, will be announced at the start of each Weekly Period.
Free Alternative Method of Entry: To enter without making a purchase, hand-print your name, address, day and evening phone numbers, email address, and age on a 3" x 5" card and mail it with proper postage to: Blue Violets 628 Washington Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030 Attn: Blue Violets Weekly Giveaway. Mail-in entries must be postmarked during the Weekly Period to be eligible for that week’s drawing. Limit one mail-in entry per person per week. In some Weekly Periods, entrants may be required to receive a raffle ticket which will later serve as the method of winner identification. For these instances, after we have received your mailed entry, you must come to the store during that Weekly Period in order to receive your raffle ticket. A raffle ticket will not be mailed to you.
4. Prizes
The specific prize for each Weekly Period (e.g., gift cards, a "Penny Product," apparel, accessories, etc.) will be announced in-store and via Blue Violets' official communication channels.
Penny Products: If the prize is a "Penny Product," the winner may purchase the identified cannabis product for $0.01. State law requires the collection of $0.01; the product cannot be given away for free ($0.00).
Prizes are non-transferable. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent is permitted.
5. Winner Selection and Notification
A winner will be selected by a random drawing under the supervision of Blue Violets generally within 48 hours following the end of the Weekly Period. Blue Violets will collect entries from eligible participants and select randomly from that pool. Winners will be notified via the chosen communication channel for that Weekly Period (e.g. social media, SMS, email). Blue Violets shall have no liability for a winner's failure to receive notices due to the winner’s own actions or lack thereof, spam, junk e-mail, or other settings. If the winner is not reachable or does not respond to the method of communication, Blue Violets may but is not required to select an alternative winner. Such alternative winner will be notified via the same method of communication as the original winner, as described in this section.
6. Rights Granted by You
By entering, you understand and agree that Blue Violets, anyone acting on behalf of Blue Violets, and Blue Violets’ licensees, successors, and assigns, shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, your entry, name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, or statements about the Giveaway for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent.
7. Terms & Conditions
Blue Violets reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Giveaway or these terms and conditions for any reason, at any time, with or without notice to You.
8. Limitation of Liability
By entering, You agree to release and hold harmless Blue Violets and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) such entrant’s participation in the Giveaway and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof.
