2025 Environmental Impact Report
At Blue Violets, sustainability remains a core part of how we operate. As we reflect on 2025, we are proud to have furthered our commitment to environmentally responsible practices while introducing new procedures designed to reduce waste and emissions in meaningful ways.
Continuing Our Commitment
Throughout 2025, we maintained and strengthened the environmentally conscious practices outlined in our 2024 report:
Thoughtful Product Curation
We continue to prioritize brands that align with our values, including those using sustainable cultivation methods, minimizing packaging, and demonstrating a commitment to environmental responsibility.Packaging Reduction Efforts
We have sustained our focus on reducing unnecessary packaging at the retail level, encouraging customers to consolidate purchases and be mindful of waste.Recycling Awareness
Our team remains committed to educating customers on what can and cannot be recycled within the cannabis industry, helping bridge the gap where municipal systems fall short.Operational Efficiency
We continue to optimize in-store energy usage and daily operations to reduce our overall environmental footprint.
New in 2025: Closing the Loop on Vape Waste
One of the most significant environmental challenges in cannabis retail is the disposal of vape products, which often contain batteries, metals, and plastics that are not easily recyclable through standard systems.
In 2025, we introduced our vape recycle program, designed to directly address this issue. Customers are encouraged to return used vape devices to our store, at which point we will handle them pursuant to applicable regulations and transport them to a specialized recycling drop-off center. This initiative helps divert hazardous and non-biodegradable waste from landfills. By taking ownership of this waste stream, we are working to create a more circular system within an industry that urgently needs it.
New in 2025: Low-Emission Delivery via Bicycle
This year, we also reimagined our delivery model with sustainability in mind. Our cannabis deliveries are conducted via bicycle rather than automobile. This shift significantly lowers emissions and allows us to operate more fluidly within our local community while reducing noise and traffic impact.
Looking Ahead
While we are proud of the progress made in 2025, we recognize that sustainability is an ongoing process. The cannabis industry continues to face structural challenges around packaging, regulation, and waste, but we remain committed to being part of the solution.
